Keynote Speakers

Professor Milind Tambe

Harvard University, Google DeepMind

Milind’s pioneering AI systems have had real-world impact in public health, public safety, and wildlife conservation. His work has earned numerous honours, including the AAAI Award for AI for the Benefit of Humanity, the IJCAI John McCarthy Award, and recognition from U.S. public agencies. He is a Fellow of both AAAI and ACM.

Dr Melissa (Millie) Chapman

ETH Zürich, Google Research

Millie’s research is at the intersection of decision theory, ecology, and data justice, critically exploring how computational tools can help us develop effective and equitable strategies to meet global biodiversity and climate targets.

Professor Hatice Gunes

University of Cambridge

Hatice leads the Affective Intelligence and Robotics (AFAR) Lab at the University of Cambridge, where her research focuses on social, affective, and multimodal intelligence for AI systems and robots. Her work bridges computer science with mental health and wellbeing, and has been recognised with multiple awards, including from IEEE and the University of Cambridge.

Professor Neil Lawrence

University of Cambridge

Neil is a professor of machine learning whose technical expertise is in uncertainty and machine learning methods. With the increased impact of machine learning in society, in particular its use as the principal technology underpinning modern artificial intelligence, Neil has also become interested in public understanding of machine learning, policy decisions around machine learning and the implications for data governance.
