Abdullah Safir is an Early Career Community Committee member and researcher in AI ethics and critical design, currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary (AI) Design at the University of Cambridge. His work focuses on responsible and inclusive AI systems tailored to Majority World/Global South contexts, with a central interest in epistemic justice and integrating non-Western ways of knowing in sociotechnical design—particularly in the age of Generative AI.
