About

Yaakov Ophir is a an Affiliated Fellow of CHIA, clinical psychologist and a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in Ariel University, Israel.

Yaakov received his PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and gained extensive experience in complex empirical research and scientific criticism. Yaakov is also a licensed clinical psychologist with a specific expertise in child therapy, parent training, and family interventions. He work at the mental health centre of Megilot, in which he also served as the director of the ‘National Program for Children and Youth at risk’.

Yaakov’s research focuses on:

• Psychological development in the digital age
• Artificial intelligence tools for early detection of psychopathology
• Scientific criticism of biomedical consensus, including ADHD and stimulant medication
• Clinical practice in child therapy, parent training, and family interventions
